The Model 65XP is the smallest of 8 disc-style chippers in the Bandit line up and has served as the mainstay brush chipper for both rental companies and tree service professionals. Compact in stature but big on performance, the Model 65XP features a wide throat opening that’s twice the size of most other chippers in the 6-inch category. Gas engines ranging from 25 to 37 horsepower are available to choose from.
Key Features
• 6” capacity
• Wide 6” x 12” opening
• Weighs just over 2,000 pounds
Compact and Dependable
The Model 65XP is a powerful yet compact unit making a great rental machine. The 6” x 12” wide throat opening is twice the size of most competitive machines. The Model 65XP Brush Bandit is highly portable and will provide years of dependable service for homeowners, contractors, and tree care companies.
Powerful Feed System
The powerful single feed wheel system crushes and compresses limby material. A 24.95 cubic-inch displacement hydraulic motor has the power to pull long material into the chipper, reducing the cost of converting trees and brush into chips by reducing the amount of trimming.
Extremely Easy to Service and to Maintain
The chipper hood opens making it easy to access the knives. Bolt-in knives are easy to change and reversible with two usable edges before the knives need to be sharpened. Knives may be sharpened up to five or six times before replacement. All grease points are easy to reach, and all other service areas are easy to access. (Note: knife hardware must be replaced after 4-5 knife rotations or changes)
Proven
Because of their superior performance, productivity and durability, Bandit’s 6” models are the chippers that all other 6” chippers are compared to. More than seven thousand 6” Brush Bandit chippers are in operation worldwide, some with well over 10,000 hours. Their ruggedness and dependability are keys to their popularity and high resale value.
Heavy-Duty Chipper
The heart of a hand-fed disc chipper is the chipper disc and housing.
The Bandit 6” models are equipped with:
• 26” diameter x ¾” thick disc
• 2 knife pockets
• 2” chipper shaft
Built to Last
The chipper disc, housing and shafts, when properly maintained, have a life of up to 10 to 15 years, or more.
Rugged and Dependable
The 65XP’s are twice as rugged as competitive 6” machines. Heavy-duty components ensure long life and trouble free operation, even when chipping large materials. This machine will easily keep two people busy feeding it.
Torflex EZ-Lube Axles
The Model 65XP is available with a 2,200 or 3,500 pound axle for all engine options.
Power Options
The engine or power unit provides all of the power needed to run the chipper and the hydraulic functions of the chipper. The 65XP is available with a Kohler 25 or 37 horsepower engine or a Vanguard 35 horsepower engine allowing the customer to select the power unit that best suits their specific needs from a performance and service standpoint.
